The show, which is set to be one of the new decade's biggest in the UK, will be another in a long line of spectacular outdoor events from the band in their homeland following on from:

· June 1998: Cardiff Castle

· July 1999: Morfa Stadium

· April 2001: Millennium Stadium

· December 2003: Millennium Stadium

· September 2009: Cardiff Castle

Stereophonics have also played a record-breaking 13 previous sell out shows at the Cardiff International Arena.

"It's going to be a Welsh summer celebration, giving something back to the people of the valleys, towns and cities, says Kelly. "For us, it's the icing on the cake of our sold out world tour!"

The 32,000 concert capacity Cardiff City stadium is normally home to Cardiff City Football Club and Cardiff Blues, as well as being used by the Welsh national football side. In the summer of 2010 it will be home to one of Britain's finest, Stereophonics.

Across the rest of the UK, Stereophonics resume touring duties when they head out on their eagerly anticipated 9-date Arena Tour in March with their acclaimed new studio album 'Keep Calm and Carry On'.

Initially planned to be a 7-date run, extra dates were added in Glasgow (March 2nd) and Wembley (March 11th) due to overwhelming demand.

The next cut from the record is their instantly memorable single 'Could You Be The One' out February 15th.

Stereophonics are - Kelly Jones (Songwriter, Vocals, Guitars), Richard Jones (Bass), Javier Weyler (Drums) and Adam Zindani (Guitars).
